VIC Award Ceremony

Ten leading young researchers were recognised with prestigious Young Tall Poppy Science Awards at a ceremony at Swinburne University on Thursday 16 November.

These winners showcase the diversity of research being carried out in this state. From creating tiny electronic chips and the working of the cells in our bodies to the Dark Matter of the Universe, these Tall Poppies are reaching out to improve lives and understanding far beyond Victoria.

The Victorian Tall Poppy of the Year was shared by Dr Catherine Granger from the University of Melbourne and Dr Eric Chow from Monash University. The Victorian Young Tall Poppy Awards are supported by Monash University and Swinburne University of Technology.
