Dr Mitch Duncan
Central Queensland University
The volume of time spent sitting is emerging as an independent risk factor for several diseases even if a person is physically active. Dr Duncan’s research is centred on the effects of too little physical activity and too much sitting; the influence that community designs and workplace environments have on these behaviours; and how best to measure our behaviour in these environments. His work aims to change our environments to limit the time spent sitting and make choosing regular physical activity and easy option.
