New Subscribers

I don't have a credit card. Can I pay by cheque or money order?

Yes. Cheques or money orders in Australian dollars should be made out to Australian Institute of Policy and Science. Our ABN is 71 000 025 507. Send a completed subscription form with your cheque or money order to PO Box M145, Missenden Road, NSW, 2050, Australia.

Which credit cards do you accept?

AMEX, Diners Club, Mastercard and VISA. You can pay online using our secure payment system or fill in a subscription form and fax it back to us.

What currency can I pay in?

Australian dollars only.

I need a tax invoice for my subscription. How can I get one?

The subscription form is a legally accepted tax invoice in Australia. Simply keep a copy for your records before submitting to us.

Is it possible to order an online subscription?

No, subscriptions for an online version of AQ are not currently possible. We are, however, in the process of investigating new ways to make AQ available, including online. Please try again later.

Can I order a gift subscription?

I work for a library or large organisation. Can we subscribe through an agency?

Yes. You can purchase AQ subscriptions through subscription management agencies including DA Services, EBSCO and Isubscribe.

How long does a subscription last?

A subscription to AQ is for one year and includes four issues. Subscriptions are based on a calendar year (1 January to 31 December), and back copies will be forwarded to subscribers who sign up later in the year.

How is the magazine delivered?

Subscriptions in Australia are delivered by Australia Post and overseas mail is all sent via airmail. Please note that overseas subscriptions may take up to two weeks to arrive.

I've moved. How can I change my mailing address?

The latest issue of AQ has not arrived. When will it arrive?

AQ is published six times per year. Issues are mailed out approximately every two months. Please note that overseas subscriptions sometimes experience delays and take longer to arrive. If the delay seems unreasonably long, please contact us. Please note: We have been experiencing delays in the printing of AQ. We will be sending the back issues to current subscribers as soon as possible.

How do I renew my subscription?

Go to the Subscribe page and select ‘renewal’ as the subscription type when filling in your subscription details. Please note that if you paid by credit card before you will need to fill in your credit card details again as we do not keep these on file.

If my article is published in AQ do I get paid?

No. AQ is unfortunately not able to offer payment for any articles or other contributions.

If want to submit an article to AQ for publication, what should I do?

Email your suggestion or contribution to the Editor, following our editorial guidelines.

Can I access articles from past issues of AQ on electronic databases?

Yes, though you may require subscriptions to these databases in order to gain access to articles. Articles appearing in AQ are currently indexed ABC POL SCI: A bibliography of Contents: Political Science and Government. The International Political Science Abstracts publishes abstracts of some political science articles appearing in AQ.
