New Tall Poppies Emerge
The 2012 Young Tall Poppy Awards have been launched in the ACT during National Science Week.
For the second year in a row, the Tall Poppy Campaign has partnered with ABC Radio National’s Big Ideas program to celebrate young scientists. Tall Poppies from WA, Tasmania and the ACT joined Paul Barclay to discuss the correlation between poverty and poor health.

The Australian National University had two winners, Dr Elizabeth Williams and Dr Alison Calear. The ANU Medal for the ACT Tall Poppy of the Year for 2012 was Dr John Young from ADFA at UNSW.
