Queensland Young Tall Poppy Campaign

 

The Queensland Young Tall Poppy Campaign was re-launched in May 2009 with a call for nominations for the Young Tall Poppy Science Awards for Queensland. Nominations, with an extension, closed on 4 August 2009.

 

In 2009, the Queensland Young Tall Poppy Scientist of the Year from amongst finalists will be awarded with prize money totalling $10,000 for use in support of the awardee's research and/or directly related science promotion activities.

 

This prestigious prize is supported by Griffith University, the Queensland Institute of Medical Research , the University of Queensland and the Quensland University of Technology

 

The 2009 Young Tall Poppy Science Awards will be announced at a cocktail function at Customs House, Queen St, Brisbane on the evening of 16 November 2009.
