Post Budget Health Briefing 2009
The 2009 Post-Budget Health Briefing was held over Breakfast with around 200 participants on Thursday 14 May in the Mural Hall Parliament House, Canberra.
Shortly after the 2009 Federal Budget was announced, the Hon Nicola Roxon MP, Minister for Health and Ageing joined the Australian Institute of Policy and Science to outline new policy directions and initiatives for health in Australia. Presented to a broad ranging audience in Canberra, this breakfast event offered essential insights into the Government's policy and budget commitments to the health sector for 2009. The event's timing ensured currency while giving participants a day to digest budgetary announcements and frame their questions. It provided an opportunity for lively and important debate.
Response in 2009 to this event was very positive, and well above last year. Please see a list of organisations represented at the 2009 Post-Budget Health Briefing as at 8 May 2009 when registrations closed. We appreciate the feedback already received from participants, and will try to ensure the event in 2010 is even more attune to your expectations.
