In 2009 nominations for the Young Tall Poppy Science Awards were launched in Queensland and Tasmania.

The Tasmanian Awards will be decided by a joint Victoria/Tasmania Selection Committee, as are the current ACT/NSW Awards. Any successful Tasmanian Awardees will be announced at the Melbourne-based awards ceremony, as are ACT winners announced at the Sydney NSW awards ceremony. 

Queensland nominees were called for in 2009, and will be judged by a separate selection committee and awarded in Brisbane on 16 November at Customs House, Brisbane.

For those in the Northern Territory and Western Australia, please contact us with any expression of interest in supporting the Young Tall Poppy Science Awards or desire to nominate candidates. We plan to include NT and WA in 2010 in our national program.
