Post Budget Health Briefing

The Post Budget Health Briefing is an annual event organised by the Australian Institute of Policy & Science that gives health professionals an opportunity to receive a first-hand briefing from the incumbent Federal Minister for Health and Ageing.

The briefing takes place shortly after the Federal Budget is delivered, giving a select health and medical audience the opportunity to discuss the Federal Government’s latest policy initiatives and question the Minister on directions and changes in health funding. Attendees include executives and representatives from research institutes, universities, hospitals, government departments, private industry and peak health organisations, among others from across the health and medical sector.

This event has been held annually by the Australian Institute of Policy & Science since 1997 and has been sponsored by Johnson & Johnson and Bupa since 2006.
