The Campaign aims to deliver initiatives that emphasise our vision of increasing public engagement, promoting excellence in research, informing and influencing policy and investing the future of our State.

 

The SA Tall Poppy Awards

 

The 2009 South Australian Young Tall Poppy Science Award winners were announced on 18 August 2009. They join a thriving network of Tall Poppy Scientists which now boasts more than 50 South Australian scientists recognised for their extraordinary achievements and commitment.

Reaching Students Program 

 

The Tall Poppies Reaching Students Program engages the Young Tall Poppy Science Award winners (a.k.a. ‘Tall Poppies’) in activities to promote interest, study and careers in science among school students, teachers and the broader community.To learn more about the program visit About the Program

 

Many opportunities exist, if you would like a Tall Poppy to visit your School or to engage in your local initiative or a broader partnership. Please complete a SA - Tall Poppy School Visit Request  form.

Tall Poppy Seminars

 

The Tall Poppy Campaign holds a series of seminars throughout the year. Each seminar is themed  to allow integration of Mathematical, Physical or Biological Sciences and to highlight the interdisciplinary application of "science". Seminars include presentations from our Tall Poppies and are held in metropolitan or regional areas of South Australia. Numerous high schools are invited to bring their students to attend.
